Fishing Tackle
I'm after some basic, cheap but decent quality fishing tackle. Preferably as listed below but will consider alternatives
12ft Carp Rod
Reel with spare spool (preferably)
Telescopic landing net
Selection of terminal tackle ie, floats, wagglers, lures, etc
It's not a hobby I'll be taking up permanently, so can't see the point in buying new stuff. Anybody here got owt before I try
e-bay?
Phil

this annoys me, all fisherman, should return there freshwater stock.
all our uk Stock is already under threat from cormorrants and illegal poaching, currently we are removing around 30 illegal nets a month in my area
alone. anyone advocating or joking about removal and destruction of stock is wrong. The offence itself is punishable with £5000 fine and upto 1 year
in prison (updated very recently) and I know before i'm corrected that undetr the current rod license laws a fisherman can remove up to two
fish per trip. BUT most do not.
sorry for the rant but this is one of those thing that sets me off
sorry mr whippy I'm sure you didn't mean it

boom he's off on a rant!
I do some trout fishing myself with friends and do eat them, reminded me of one doing a right number on one I caught battering the poor thing to death
while we all just shook our heads at his total incompliance
no shortage at all in some of the rivers up here and we don’t poach but your right about not harming stock levels, don’t think I’ve even seen a carp,
at 12ft long I'm quite glad

Personally I can't understand the aim of fishing when you don't eat the little blighters though I'm not a big fan of freshwater fish
to eat. Prefer something from the sea (preferably smoked)....
Oh well, each to their own.... some people probably don't understand the joys of giving yourself terrible suntan from a mig-welder and
sprinkling red-hot iron fillings down your shirt when grinding....
