6x2 timber!
Long shot I know, but is anyone near either GL55 (Chipping Campden, Glos) or near B'ham that has 10-12 lengths of 6x2 wood.
Doesn't need to be pretty but need to be at least 2.60-2.65m in length.
It's to loft my garage so I can get on with more interesting car tinkering - but any timber I've found at the shops is something like £10
a length - don't have £100 to spend at the moment so worth a shot on here!
If anyone is near M1 (Manchester) I am likely to be up there within the next 4 weeks too!
Cheers
Pavel

i got a load of 4x2 cls at B&Q today for about £3 a length, but that was only 2.4m lengths. For some reason CLS timber is always much cheaper than
other types, but ive not seen it in 6x2 sizes.
Have you tried a proper timber merchant? I use both shire and howarth in leeds, and they are usually very cheap, though ive never priced or bought
6x2s. There must be somewhere similar local.

You only need to make the existing timber up to 6x2. So I would glue and screw new smaller timber onto what is already there.
ie; if you already have 3x2 spars just attach another 3x2 on top, to give you 6x2.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!
