when i was looking for a tiny trailer i looked at Paxton trailers, as my dad had a smallish one used for dump runs etc, which was really well priced and very solid. They do a transporter one with a 9ftx5ft bed, i worked out with a very small mod at the front to extend the bed the car would just fit on.

looks interesting - would be interested to see the picture of the mod that you did to it? Also how much was it? Struggling to see the price on their website.

Cheers

i didn't buy one on the end as something else came up that didn't need any mods at all (smallest brian james they make (5x11 bed)

I was just going to put another cross member on the front a frame and increase the bed just where the wheels sit. I was going to be a tight squeeze but would just fit. I had a storage and access issue so really wanted something as tiny as possible.

Here they are on ebay

my dad has this trailer and its brilliant, had it for years with no issues. Taken a tonne of bricks 150miles up the M6 on a regular basis with no problems at all.

A slight worry is the fact that these are unbraked, so not a lot of carrying capacity, 510kg max load on them.
And don't assume you will get away with it ifthe car weighs more, a traffic cop WILL spot it. And that could be nasty.

Of course, if your car has a gross weight of less than 510kg, it would be fine. But traffic cops are unlikely to assume it is that light.

yeah did forget to mention that my car weighs 470kg, hence the need for no brakes.

I'd say you need a braked trailer if you are thinking of using it to trailer a car, if you ran into the back of someone cos you couldn't stop you'd be in a load or trouble, probably find you insurance would be void too

legally only needs to be braked if over 750kg. Not saying you would want to tow it with a metro without additional brakes, but if using a 4x4 or big saloon you would be fine, just adjust driving style accordingly
