SUNBEAM RAPIER BRAKE DRUM
I have decided to put my old Spartan back on the road (I built this 38 years ago, but took it off the road 12 years ago). However, I am missing a
rear brake drum!
The axle was off a 1971 Sunbeam Rapier and the drum measures 9" x 1.75".
I think many of the Rootes group cars of this period used the same drums. EG Hillman Hunter and Humber Sceptre.
Its a bit of a long shot, but does anyone have one of these, or know where I can get hold of one?
I have had a search of the internet, but have drawn a blank so far.

Thanks cliftyhanger, I have used those in the past, and they have calipers, discs, pads, shoes, slave cylinders etc, but not drums! This seems to be
the same situation for other Rootes spares specialists as well.
Thanks ReMan, they list them in their very extensive catalogue. I will give them a call on Monday. Their catalogue has also helped me find out what
other models in the Rootes group used the same drums, so I can extend my search for cars being broken for spares.
Many thanks both of you.

Thanks for all your help, DJA autoparts have it in their catalogue, but the cupboard is bare! They checked their casting orders for me as they cast
about 150 to 200 at a time, but the next lot wont be till about next year
Speedy Spares don't list them in their catalogue, but they checked their stock and found a single one sitting on the shelves. £46 inc delivery
and I should have it in the next couple of days
How much do you want to bet the missing drum turns up just after the new one arrives
