Not think it might be a better idea to fit new track rod ends

Sorry, this will be no use to you but might push you into getting new TR ends instead and save some trouble. I donated my TR end lock nuts to help
another se7en get through SVA. Mine were brand new Sierra TR ends. I cant get replacements. V.Strange thread. 10,mm OD and similar thread form to 1/4
whitworth. Ill have to buy some new ends

I just bought new track rod ends and you don't get lock nuts with them, it's a "dealer part"
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I got lock nuts with the TRE's i got with my Mac#1 chassis package as supplied by the TRE maker. These also fitted the TRE's that my
father has on his MK, so some aftermarket TRE's definitely come supplied with lock nuts. The dealer part (that i took off the donor) is a
castellated nut to suit a split pin and it doesnt fit mine - different thread form. Make sure you get the right ones.
Please let me know if the dealer bit is nyloc or castellated??
I was after the thread form for two reasons - 1. to replace the lock nuts, and 2. to buy some more so i can put two nuts on each end as a belt and
braces tactic. (cant help thinking the split pin type are more secure).
Cheers,
Darren.

Webcam pic.
Here they are. £1.13 a pair from GK Ford. Same as Sierra ones. Edit:- The Nylocs for the rod end do come with the new ones, as BT says though they do
depend on supplier as to thread, it was the rack lock nuts I was short of.
