Custom Made Bushes
I need 3 bushes made for a pedal set im making, and wondered if either anyone knew where i could get these made at a reasonable price, or if anyone
had the tools to make them for me.
They need to be quite hard either aly or nylatron, with the following dimensions.
40mm long, 15.5mm OD, 8mm ID.
Many Thanks

8mm ID ? If its for a brake pedal pivot it sounds a bit small --- My clutch & brake pedals pivot on a 16mm dia bolt

Can you not just buy a bar of delron or the like?

I have a length of Nylatron if it'll help - my lathe's an old knacker but could probably manage what you're after. Are they just
parallel sided, or do you need top-hats?

The suspension bolts are only 10-12mm!
8mm is more than enough.
Cheers,
James

Its a bending stiffness rather than a strength issue the suspension bolts are tightly bolted the pedal pivot is just held loosely and has a bigger
span. On road cars I have never seen a pivot pin of less than 0.5"/13mm while from memory I think Ford use 0.75"/18mm

Theyre just parallel sided. If you can manage them, ill be in your debt. let me know how much. Thanks
Also had an offer of some ali bushes, so if its going to be a real problem with accuracy on your lathe, then let me know and ill ask the other guy.
Many Thanks
Chris.
