Dizzy and amp plugs (pinto)
Ive just had to buy new electronic dizzy and ignition amplifier. Dizzy is the type fitted to pre-86 cars with round plug (3 connections), amp from
same year. I dont have the plugs. Does anyone have a spare set from a disused donor loom they wont be using?
(i dont have them cos my donor was 1988 efi pinto with wrong dizzy (square plug hall effect) and amp.
Many Thanks,
Darren.

As far as the amp goes I used the plug from my EFI loom and just crimped new wires onto it. (Pull out the red plastic bit in the plug and bin it).
As for the dizzy- do you need the plug? Just crimp/solder the wires together.

Thanks for reply James,
Ref Dizzy - good idea, problem solved.
Ref amp - i was planning on just fitting crimps direct to the new amp. Good ideaabout Efi plug. My only concern is getting the connections right. I
was hoping to get plug and some wire so i have the colours. Ive seen two wiring diagrams posted that have differnt colours and the order of the
connections go to different components.
I recall Nick posted a diag a while ago that you tried and then subsequently updated. Is this the one that worked?
