Wanted for K-series...

... I need a plug for the map sensor - the engine I bought "complete" is missing this plug - wires just cut off.

Anyone got one (long shot) or know where I could get one? Not sure if the local scrappy would have one new enough (2001) and/or would want me to cut off a small part of the engine on its own!

Thanks in advance

K series.

Try and find the mg midget forum. I had a midget and fitted the k-series engine with the sierra 5 speed box. The lads know where to get anything for the k-series engines. David in belfast.ps.dont boil the engine

Nope, it's a rover item. The k-series was long before BMW, arriving in 1989 in the Metro.

It says Rover on it, and it is different from earlier K-series. Phoned a Rover dealer and they said I could have one... they are attached to a full loom!

The BMW significantly changed the engine management of the K series, while they retained the Rover-Motorla MEMS system on the 4 cylinder K16 (KV6 EMS is Siemens) , starting from MEMS 3 which was introduced with the Rover 75 in 1999 just about all the sensors on the engine are BMW pattern.

Having been round about 5 places locally I have now got one... persuaded the scrappy to part with it without me buying the whole loom/engine

then I discovered from Mark at Mac#1 that they have them in stock

Oh well, got it anyhow
