Lynx Manifold

Has anybody got a Lynx crossover manifold to bolt a single 40 DCOE to a crossflow?
If you have please sell it to me.

Why do you want to put a Weber on it ?, you would be better with an injection set up and could swap it over when you fit a bigger engine. You will need to spend money on setting up a carb but could map injection yourself I already have a reasonable map for a crossflow from my old set up.

Hi Paul,

I've got a plan.
1) Build Megasquirt and fit with EDIS etc. Get running spark only and use for a while.
2) Fit BCF2 camshaft and upgrade to single DCOE,because it's got a Motorcraft carb at the moment (and a single DCOE is a bit retro and gets rid of the tractor air filter). Set it up and use for a while.
3) Make new manifold and tank with swirl pot. Fit new pumps etc. and bike throttle bodies.

I want to keep driving the car as I upgrade and as you know it takes me ages to do anything. If I go straight to step three it'll be off the road for months.

Hi David.
I've got a 1.1 crossflow carb and manifold u can have for nothing. Come to thing of it u can have the whole engine apart from the block. Stick all the bits on to your block. Should slow you down nicely. Lol. Then if u wanted to u could chuck your lead free head my way.

How about .
1 Fit megasquirt and edis ignition and keep driving with the standard carb.
2 Make a new tank with built in swirlpot so as you only need to fit a hp pump or maybe even an intank pump.
3. Make a new manifold and fit throttle bodys , I have a spare crossflow head I was going to sell but you can borrow it to make the manifold and jig up the throttle bodys.
Then you could swap the tank, fit throttle bodys and fuel return line over a weekend and get it running on the crossflow map i have that worked on my car.
Im sure I could manage to come over and help out, but dont think you would have any problems.
If you fit the Weber then you would most likely end up messing around with jets etc to get it to run nicely unless you can find a carb ready jetted for the application.

Paul,

Are you suggesting I fit the throttle bodies before the camshaft? I'll have to get over to see you, to formulate a firm plan. Are you there on Sunday?

How about I drop the car off to you for a couple of weekends and you let me have it back when it's all done.

Hi David
Theres no reason not to fit the throttle bodys first, but it would only take a day to change the camshaft anyway.
Im working on Sunday unfortunately but am off work for 12 days after that.
Im sure a couple of weekends work would do it if you got everything ready beforehand.
Paul.
