Escort 1.3 '78 - Master Brake Cylinder

As above really.

It has 2 holes in the top for the reservoir and 3 holes for the brake pipes (2xfront and 1xrear)

Ours has failed, foot keeps touching the bulkhead and it doesn't stop

Cheers, Lee

take a look inside - if the bore is fine, you may get away with new seals.

someone will come along and post the website.

Sorry, I seemed to omit from my previous post that last weekend we changed the seals and it didn't really make a difference

Ah ha! 78 Escort master cylinder.. Hmmm. If the car was built in Germany it has a different master cylinder that was only made for one year...

Guess what? There are not available any more... boo hoo.

It happened to me when i was building my Striker and I got all the information I needed and excellent help from GMS Capri Spares.

Call them on 0191 377 1718

They are not far from me and place looks like any old motor parts shop... until you go inside. I asked him for 1978 Escort front hub bearings and he had them on the shelf behind him! Mightly impressive.
