1995 Ford 1.4 ecu

Looks like my runabout's ecu has some problems - Keep Alive Memory has got amnesia

Anyone got one?

It is actually a PTE and apparently a bit rare

CVH development then.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Pete, so does that mean a CVH ecu (or any other) will fit then ? I'm a bit of a noob in this area and don't know the difference.

I had a 1.3CVH which looked identical to a 1.4 so it might be worth a look. You could find one in a Fiesta which used the 1.4 as well. The one I had used a spark amplifier on the side of the distributor, nothing fancy like memory or ecu though.

Looks like I have found a suitable ECU but it has ocurred to me that it will not be a simple swap.

Do I need to do anything about the key codes or is that too sophisticated for an Escort?
