IB5 gearbox - attn Zetec people!

After an IB5 gearbox, FWD, as fitted to late Escorts. It's the one with the starter at the back.

Preferably local, as postate will be difficult!

Can anyone help?

Cheers, Chris

It's not a gearbox itself & it's hardly local to you (though it is to me!) but would this be of interest?

Saw those... but I'd still need an IB5 casing to put it in, and I'm not sure if I could assemble them all.

Stupid thing is, I just sold a car that had one in. Paid less for the whole car than it appears a gearbox is going to cost me!

are they the same as the fiesta ones?

if they are a whole mk3/4 fiesta is worth nothing without T&T - so your cheapest option might be to get a whole car and scrap it once you've got the box

also I think the 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 mk1 focus's have them too

I'd expect so. It was the replacement for the BC box, as fitted up to about 1990-ish. The only other FWD is the MTX75, which is only in the 2.0 cars.

If the car is <2.0 and the starter is at the back of the block, chances are it's the one I need.
