Wanted Dial Gauge
For checking disc run out, so with an arm.
Can only find 'non arm' versions.
Any ideas where I can get one?
If the arm is removable that would be a bonus...

That type is ok for small runnouts such as when setting machine tools but a plunger type with 10 or 12 mm travel is more use for working on engines
etc.
Theres always some on Ebay or as mentioned screwfix do one for£16.99 cat no 58566-90

I have been able to find dial gauges, e.g.

but I am ideally after one with a (detachable) arm.
I have seen them in the past, I think in a back street auto shop, but didn't have a use for one. Now I want one, I can't find one.

There are dial gauges on eBay. Search for dial test indicator.
360039712904 looks a reasonable price.
I use mine with a magnetic mount.

For what you are doing that will be ok mounted on a suitable mag stand, the lever arm type only have about 30 thou total travel and are not as easy to
use for general work, they are more for machine tool set up.
