It looks like a Healey at the front and back, joined buy the lines of a Cob in the middle!
With an off the shelf screen and a hard top available sounds nice.
.....................and from MK, it's not going to be crap quality either.

hmm, i am not conviened yet, but it might be perfect for enough kit car project maybe next summer, so i have a winter toy, with a roof.lol
that would look better with a v8 in it, a litlle bit of fiddling with the mk chassis i am sure it will fit.lol
as it has a smoother front than a proper mk, does that mean this will go faster top end?

oh dear ..... thats not good ....... thats scary. VERY scary - in a i'm about to lose 12 months of my life kind of way. Must get the g/f to get
a higher paid job. Make my own Mk1 escort for £2500 .... i can see the book coming now!!!!!

Knowing how much effort has gone into this, I would wait a while longer before you dismiss this.
The guy behind this is a perfectionist struggling to bring this to market in the worst economic environment we have seen in years.
So to the knockers and the nay sayers I say give the guys a chance to polish the product.
I am actually looking forward to the Busa Turbo version

^^^Good point Martin,I would like to see a finished car,the picture of the bare shell with just a set of old wheels fitted is doing it no favours at
all,I am sure with a bit of chrome on it,lights and trim,a screen etc and a nice set of wheels fitted it would look a different car
I think the concept is a great idea,it will fit on any old Indy chassis,or on the new chassis,it just gives buyers another option,and at around £1600
a cheap one at that,I am sure there will be quiet a few MK Indy owners,who will be looking at upgrading there old bodywork with this rebody,it will be
like having a new car for not alot of money,I would love to see one with a TVR V8 in it.

OK - here are some images of the white car that was at the show. This is the first one out of the moulds - still some fit issues which will be fixed
in subsequent runs. This is having GSXR engine in it. Should be hitting a track near you in the spring
The body will fit any Indy chassis and MK will be offering a retrofit outrigger kit for any folks looking to switch part built kits to the HSR body.
Currently pulling together the website for this - once it is up I will post a link.

Gullwing roof would be cool, has the roof been made yet?
If you have gullwing doors that when up don't stick out of the cars foot print, can you drive with them open?

First moulds this week and no it shouldn't stick out as the roof is gullwing, not doors

It wasn't that it wasn't finished - I'm a visionary man. It's just that though there was an infinite number of lines I could
draw through the single point where the car is at now, none of them extrapolated into a direction that was satisfying in the end...
If it says on the track it will be OK. If you venture onto the roadways I'm afraid the scrutiny will be too much and it will come of a bit
short

I rather like it. Apart from the fact that the rear light clusters aren't level (the one on the right is much higher than the one on the left)
and the bottom edge of the boot lid is (perhaps as a result) at quite a jaunty angle. Also, the scuttle doesn't appear to line up with the
trailing edge of the bonnet.
I think if done well it could work nicely - I'm a big fan of full-bodied sevenesque cars like the Fury, Phoenix and J15. But it's got to
be done well - if the bodywork doesn't fit properly and the mouldings are skew-whiff then it's a pain to put together and will never look
right.
And the wonkiness of that shell's back end seems pretty noticeable on both the white and black shells...
