SVA & Exhaust wrap
I think i need to wrap my whole exhaust for the SVA as there are a few rough welds. Should i wrap the CAT up or will it just get too hot and burn?

y don't you just file down the welds? and then make the exhaust nice and shiny!

use a flapper wheel on the grinder to buff the welds flat, their only about £8

You can wrap the cat up no problem, just make sure you use the stainless ties, not hose clamps. I think you should be able to tidy the welds up enough
on the rest of it.
If the sva man wants to put his little plastic ball anywhere near your exhaust to check it I would be suprised,

statistically you will fail anyway, unless you are Donut, so treat the first test as a trial run. Ofcourse do as much as you can to pass but the
second one should be a doddle.
I'd try smoothing off the welds first.

SVA man made me take the exhast wrap off so he could see if there were edges underneath. Said I could put it back on after. As it was I didnt need it
so havent.
Thanks

I didn't put wrap on my silencer, just used some rubber edging which was still in place until I changed the silencer (3 years)
