Ooooh! So do I!! If all else fails I might end up fabbing some out of GRP... Turn some floral foam on a pillar drill to the required profile and use
it as a buck to make some trumpets....

Yup still struggling, being a cheapscate, I really don't want to spend £100-200 on then, also there going in an airbox so I don't really
need shiney ones, just some plain old plastic ones will do. The TB's are off a Kawasaki GPZ1100.
Cheers
Scott

Are they not available from the OEM? I am using a Triumph engine, and the rubber inlet trumpets are £6 each from Triumph...

as above can you not get a airbox off ebay which has the trumpets fitted? generally they are soft rubber type and just pull out of the origional hard
plastic air box.

Have you actually asked Suzuki spare parts? They will probably be a cheap spare part if they are still available.

This is what I made when I first went for throttle bodies - they are 40mm internally , but I can only find three `leftover's` the same - they are
allso quite long (110mm) as they were for a very short manifold setup .
I dont have any carbon , but I could knock up a set in aluminised glass fibre cloth ? (like the odd one on the right)
Crossflow bits
Or.........if others are likely to want the same , I could turn a former to whatever size needed ?
Its cuz I is blond , innit

Will weld for food......

Thats kind of what I'm planning on doing but with a very shallow trumpet (not much height in the airbox) and a stepped bit so that they slide on
to the end of the 40mm tube as it enters the airbox without an internal restriction or ridge....
My plan of attack is
Floral foam
Pillar drill roughly file to shape (IE attack with dremel with sanding drum)
Car body filler
Smooth on pillar drill with files / sand paper
Wax
PVA
4 epoxy GRP trumpets....
I was going to make some moulds out of wax and then melt out the wax afterwards (I even made a little wax lathe to turn them on) but realised it was
much easier to make a buck....

I like those trumpets, unfortunately, they are too long, I would need them to be much shorter than that.

Get the saw out then
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Imagine this, upside down with the "egg" bit removed
Might look a lot like a stainless steel trumpet......?

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

The R6 ones are 45 mm long and 42 mm I/D in black rubber, will reduce to 40 mm with ease...and cheap
