intercom set up
bit of a long shot this one, but looking for an old second hand intercom so that I can talk to my passenger, and they can talk to me.
I have full face helmets, so I would like something that has the flat headphones, you attach inside the helmets.
cheers

there's a company who specialise in intercoms for bike riders & passengers or bike to bike comms... Think they're called autocom?
Have a gander on ebay... failing that there's plenty of cheaper products out there by the likes of oxford (who also do alot of bike related
stuff)

If you want to go really locost I'm sure Aldi or Lidl did some basic sets for a fiver a while ago, not sure how good they were though.

The Maplin/Lidl/Aldi £5 ones are a waste of money. Starcom and Autocom both make good quality units with nice features and sound you can actually
hear. I'm very happy with my Starcom. Might be some going on Ebay.
OMP rally intercom ought to be pretty good and top of the line is Peltor but I doubt you'll find any of those going cheap.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

i bought one of the autocom ones - yes they are half price cos its last years model - but it does everything i need and sounds great
i also bought with it the bluetooth mobile option so i can answer calls hands free
you can plug in
i pod / mp3 player - or a mobile fone with a fm tuner for radio (my N95 works great)
2 way radio option for car to car (£50 for the radio to fit)
it uses vox (voice activation to talk) so no pushing buttons
it is duplex (meaning you can both talk at the same time without having to wait)
waterproof
comes with 2 power connectors - one for pp3 or you can hard wire it to 12v
2 headsets which you fit to the back of the helmet lining
sound quality is top spec.. really spot on
you can be listening to music when you talk it auto quietens down - then when you have finished talking it returns back to normal..
paid £175 for the lot (inc the bluetooth extra bit)
