Is it worth changing Toyo Proxes T1-S to R888's

I have Toyo Proxes T1-S tyres fitted to my current wheels & I am going to upgrade to some team dynamic Pro race 1.2's but I was wondering whether I should fit the nearly new T1-S tyres I currently have to the new wheels or should I get some R888's instead.

The car is pretty much only going to be used on the road, but may do the odd track day.

Would there be a big difference in grip levels on the road?

Thanks,
Lee.

Also a good opportunity to go down to 13s to save weight, money and gain some suspension from higher tyre walls (if you're not running 13s already).

R888's have more grip in the dry, but I find the T1's better in wet conditions.

I have 888's on the se7en and T1's on my elise - se7en used for trackdays/sunny driving with the odd tour thrown in, elise is the household 'runaround' used in all conditions.

in answer to your question... will there more grip?,

Yes, huge amount in the dry.

Should you change?.... up to you! the benefit on track will make you smile.

I would keep them for touring and get a set of 13"1.2's with the 888's.

The cars look better with 13's and higher wall tyres. Just my opinion tho you understand

if ur after 888's try camskills £60 each delivered in less than a week. as for the wheels i ordered some 3 wks ago and was told last wk they got no castings so could be another 3wks at least
pro race 1.2's + 888's are a popular choice for sevens. iv found 15's better for road use
