Fitted my new rear springs

Not sure what other Vortx owners think but I have always found the ride a bit firm and the car a bit raw for driving on the roads as they aren't the smoothest surfaces around. So after chatting to Paul (Paublo999) and Matt at ProComp I ordered some new 175lb to replace the 250lb that were fitted.

Went out for a drive tonight with the new springs on and i have to say its like driving a different car. It nows feels like i have suspension on the rear and i am not going to shatter my spine. The car is a lot more compliant on the bumpy roads and not so twitchy over the humps. I seemed to be able to corner quick without the back end bucking around but this may be because i have also be playing around with the rear ride height.

Just need to play around with the damper settings now.

If you soften the rear you (should) always find less over steer/ more understeer.

By making the car less stiff in roll at the rear you effectively rob some cornering grip from the front and add it to the rear.

The preveous owner of my car replaced the rear springs with a softer variant.

I use mine mainly for road use and find it copes will with the great british roads that we have

Yet to use it on a track though so wonder how it will cope..
