10 Ton Press

Guys

Have any of you got a press (ideally bench top) that is taking up valuable workshop space? I can give it a good home if you have!

You could make one.

Two bits of thick plate with holes drilled in the corners about 300 x 150mm.
(Or RSJ, PFB, RSC, or whatever you can get hold of.)

Two 1M lengths of studding cut in half, + nuts. (I used M20)

10 tonne bottle jack.

Hi Paul

It does help - do you have a picture or two you can share of the finished article? Any plans available?

Thanks!

It started life as a pipe bender.

Like all things Locost it got modded.

The last job it did was to press out the metalistic wish bone bushes on a catering van.
Oooo, those bones ain't half thin, and light.

Cheers
