Powder Coating costs

Just after peoples experience of Powder Coating Costs. Looking at getting the front suspension arms re-done. I guess these companies will/can shot blast it as well ?

Thanks Guys,

Seems a bit more expensive round Milton Keynes area - looking at Minimum charges from £50 and that does not include shot-blasting

keep looking. I took my engine cover to a big industrial place where the powder coat train parts.

Cash in hand job but they helped me out with colours, properly prepared it for me (underside just needed masking off but still..), shot blasted and painted it in a day for a tenner.

If it was just a case of blasting and painting my wishbones black I'm sure they would have done it for £30

I'm having my rear arches blasted and coated at the moment, and enquired about wishbones and roll bar while I was there; £10 per wishbone and £30 for the roll bar (no stays).

I had my chassis, rollbar, wishbones, uprights, pedals, caliper carriers, cam cover, engine pullies and a host of other little brackets etc. blasted and powdercoated in satin black for £200. Makes a great start to your build.

you can get half a lite of g4 pond sealer for about £12. i painted the roof rack on my disco with it and it gets quite a bit of abuse, not to mention being under constant attack by the ellements and has stood up very well and has turned a quite fetching matt black over time.
youd need to have them 100% clean and rust free. it is basically a moisture cured polyeurethane (isocyanates so beware of fumes!) and is used for sealing ponds, tanking and priming metal and concrete for grp as well as boat related stuff. if i ever build another chassis ill be painting it with pond sealer.

edit- eeeeek, just realised this was my 666th post!
