Fireblade fuel pump please?
Hi chaps - Does anyone have a Fireblade fuel pump knocking about?
Mine's a 1997 pump on a carb'd 900/919.
I "think" that most carb'd fuel pumps of the time would do but ideally I'm looking for a Blade one please....and cheap!
It's just to fault find the small issue of me not starting at the moment!
Thanks all
Michael

You don't need a fuel pump to start the engine, watch the video below. I used a funnel with some fuel in and just gravity fed the carbs.
It's good enough to get it going.

The RRT RRV RRW model blades which had the 918/9 depending on the manual you read, didn't have pumps, trust me I have an RRV in bits.
Any carbed bike pump will do you, providing the unions are the right diameter, most are made by Mitsubishi anyway.

Thanks for that Tony. I'll settle for anything to be honest - original or compatible!
Only things on Ebay I can seem to find seem to be £50 ish and it's not money I have spare at the mo!

you'll also find this type pump is suitable, as long as it's whats called an interuptor pump, as in when it meets back pressure(as in when
the float bowls are full) it stops pumping.

Thanks for that Tony - much appreciated. Either Midget or MGB would be fine then?
