Yeah, ebay and owners forums is where ive always gone.

Are you having a set of winter tyres then? have thought about this myself.

The 306 is clearly fwd, ive got two spare steelies (ex spares) so for the cost of two tyres i could make up a pair for the front easy.

VOLVO V70 16' ALLOY WHEELS on eBay (end time 29-Nov-10 20:06:15 GMT)

^^ £90, no bids, V70 wheels with good tyres. I can't see you getting much cheaper than that!

Vredestien Wintrac as a winter tyre and Snotrac as a more extreme snow tyre, both come highly recommended on skiing forums.

We've got a set of Goodyear Ultragrip 7+ on a spare rims that I've just fitted back on to the wife's Impreza tonight. This will be the 3rd winter we've used them, they are great in both the wet and dry but the difference in snowy/slushy conditions is truly impressive.

The Nokians also get good reviews, along with the Vredsteins already mentioned.

Shaun.
