where is a good place to source a decent r1 engine and loom etc ill need to fit into my indy.....bearing in mind i live in the north east and dont want to travel starship miles if i can help it,but if noods be

Hi if you give colibriman a u2u he might be able to sort you out .
Yes you do need a cat i think someone on here has one and loans it out for sva.

You could try keeping an eye on http://www.sidenet.co.uk/cgi-bin/class/class_ad.pl?action=View+&cat=Engines&scat=All&display=25&begin=1&end=10 There seems to be a fairly regular supply on here as they are a popular choice with sidecar boys. I collected mine yesterday from a guy on there. 2003, 1600 miles for £1000. Had to collect from Dartford but worth the trip.

What sort of extra hassle is fitting an injected R1 as opposed to carb'd?

you can borrow my R1 silencer with cat if you want to for the sva .you also need all the relays,the clocks,starter solinoid,exup motor,fuel pump and anything else that is used on the bike

cheers ox thats very kind of you.ill have to source a engine first,that fuel injection one on e bay looks tempting but i have a funny feeling it will fetch over 1500 quid
