hi i currently have nothing just getting some parts together so just putting the word out there to see what came back. i'm building a haynes so which diff would be best????

there are 2 sizes 7" and 7.5" - the 7.5" is too big for some chassis, but if your building your own then you should be able to make either fit


all the ford LSD ones all have bolt-on driveshafts (but not all the diffs with bolt-on shafts have LSD's)

the 4x4 cossie's / XR4x4's have 7" diffs (with 100mm CV joints)

the 24v granada cossie's have 7.5" diffs (with 100mm CV joints) - but only cars without traction control have LSD's

the 2wd sierra cossie's have 7.5" diffs with larger driveshafts (108mm CV joints) - so these need the hubs to match
these are often easier to find as not as many kit cars can use them
