Wanted - Box Trailer

I'm after a covered/boxed trailer for what will be my Locost.

Anyone have one going cheap? I'm happy to do some work to get it up to spec (welding, re-flooring etc is all fine).

Anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Tom

If you want proper cheap, buy and old caravan, strip it out and cut the rear out and make a door and ramp. You could even keep a few creature comforts to help improve your stay in the paddock

I didnt think a caravan would be wide enough ? Got any pics ? Ive got a 21' caravan chassis and its only wide enough for an escort axle book locost.

I spent a long time looking, it came good in the end with my current trailer coming up on the WSCC site for £1000 which ive been very happy with but there arnt enough of them for sure.

You could build it for that if you could get hold of some second lengths of suitable hand angle and some thin Steel/Ali sheet and braked coupling (mine has an old spring type) but it would more than that using all new.

Less then that lol

Think buying an open trailer and welding some uprights then rivetting some ally on would be the cheapest way...
