The battery voltage compensation data

Hi All,

Im running Vauxall Beige top injectors on my pinto, in the set up of the ECU i need to enter the "battery voltage compensation data".

Does anyone know where i can get this from?

Alex

I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

You could sus it out yourself with a little ingenuity. If you have a wideband 02, set batt compensation to min and just log with the alt charging the battery and one with it disconnected. This will give you two voltages and two AFRs for the same commanded pulse width. From the AFR you can work out what % extra fuel is given in which circumstance and by how much, this should give you the battery voltage scaling.

That said, that is a bit of a pain, if anyone has the info it would be much easier for you

I just picked a value that gave me no average AFR change with the alt connected or disconnected (trial and error with the missus doing the alternator connections).

mine were pretty linear. bosch saab red tops. scoped them and compared the values on the scope to the on screen data. also measured the dead times while i had them out of the car.

best way to test if you havent got a scope is to start the car then disconnect the altenator. with the altenator disconnected turn the lights on and off and see if your engine stutters with the voltage drop. if you have a wideband its easier you just do the same but look to see ifiti goes lean or rich when you turn the lights on and off.
