Borrow compression tester, Edinburgh area

Would like to borrow a compression tester, i am buying an outboard motor at the weekend and have read that checking the compression is important.

I am between Fife and Edinburgh most days.

Thanks
Mac

if you dont get one, take the plug out and stick your finger in the hole...if it stays there when you turn it over, dont buy the engine

you can test the spark by wetting your hand and get some one to pull the cord whilst you hold it.

IM sure the local council will provide a wheelie bin to test it
