WTD: Gearbox for auto VR6 Caravelle
Colleague has a problem with the auto box in his VW 'P'reg Caravelle with vr6 engine.
It's stuck in 1st gear and wont change and apparently they're a non-serviceable part.
He's had various mechanics look at it and although no one's 100% sure, it may not be the actual gearbox itself but switch related (brake
pedal etc. etc.).
In the mean time, as they're hard to come by, he's looking for a gearbox in case that's the problem. If anyone has any leads on one,
please let me know.
Anyone know if they're the same gearbox as other VWs of the era? Someone's breaking an auto VR6 Corrado of similar era, but does the
Corrado have the same gearbox? Or, atleast, the same but with different ratios?
