whats a type 8 ??

a type 9 from any 4cyl petrol will be fine - thats what was used in 1.6 pinto sierra's
(the V6 / Diesel ones would also work but you need a spacer)

not sure what starter motor you'd need with the MT75, but the input shaft and bellhousing patterns are the same on the 4cly ones (the MT75 you'd be looking for was normaly found attached to 2.0 DOHC engines)

if your looking for something really cheap you'll just need to keep your eyes open, the price of type 9's and MT75 seems to have more than doubled in the last 5 years
and don't narrow your search too much either, the granada / scorpios also uesd the same boxes
