UNLESS I AM MISSING THE POINT, BUT .....

does having smoked lenses not dim the lights?
as i believe it does,

There is a thread further up this one, were one of our valued members could of lost his life in a rear end impact
and his car is a probable write off http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=161248

I have done a bit of testing with my original caterham style rear lenses, and to be honest the light emmiting from them is pathetic, and in the bright daylight, the brake/tail is so dim, its almost invisable

So i have fitted LED stop/tail bulbs, and fitted chrome tape in side the light pod to reflect the light outwards, ie backwards
(one light was done, the other remained as stock)
according to my neighbour (impartial judge!!) he reckons myLED light was at least 50-75% brighter, and therefore more likley to be seen, so ive done both

I personly do not want some one to rear end me, as one, i dont want my car mashed, and secondley, my life is at stake

and all for some bling ?????????????????

as i say, UNLESS I AM MISSING THE POINT, BUT .....

regards

steve

i understand your point but the light set i want are made by perei who are one of the largest lighting manufactures in europe and i am sure they will be bright enough and totally legal and would also pass an iva test.
