Recommend me a decent uprated pinto sized clutch please

Think my clutch is knackered, car still drives but wont handle any WOT. Just spins up the revs with no forward thrust.
There are some uprated kits at £3-400 but also cheaper setups, are these just standard clutch plates with a thicker clamping spring on the pressure plate?
As my budget is limited would a decent uprated cover on a standard plate be ok?
Any one have a decent budget setup that will handle approx 200lb/ft torque.

2litre or 1800/1600 ?
2 litre had a fairly generously sized clutch to start with, but 1600 was basically 190mm xflo clutch.
The simple upgrade cheap solution for a 1600 or 1800 is to fit a 2 litre flywheel and clutch.

If you already have a 2 litre clutch and it slipping check for something wrong ie fork not clearing the driven plate when the clutch is released or cracked broken pressure plate diaphragm or just plain worn clutch.

I recommend you speak to these guys: http://www.clutch-specialists.co.uk/
They built me a custom friction plate for £25 and then made another for free when it didn't fit due to my error! They can advise on different materials or build one to your spec.
