Is it this Polo radiator that people use?

There were 2 types, this and another.

I think this one looks right? Would it be ok?

The core looks to big.

I am sure its the 1.0 mk1 polo like eBay Item Its 50mm narrower than the one you linked to.

I think its this one most people use http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-POLO-1983-1990-DERBY-SEAT-TERRA-KIT-CAR-RADIATOR-NEW-2-YEAR-WARRANTY-/2710977 36301?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f1eaf2c6d

This is the normal one VOLKSWAGEN POLO 1983-1990/DERBY/SEAT TERRA/KIT CAR RADIATOR NEW-2 YEAR WARRANTY

But any rad can work providing you measure up the nose and that you allow for the sizes quoted only being the core.

EDIT also beaten to it, tablet typing is too slow

That's good then, would it be good enough to cool a 2L turbo?

Better option could be Mercedes 190 2.0/2.3 radiator, enough small but thicker - 293 X 343 X 52 mm core:
Automatic version - built in oil cooler
Nissens Radiator for MERCEDES 190 E.S.201 - 62550
or cheaper version - manual - withot oil cooler:
MERCEDES W124 200 230 W201 190E 1984 - ON MANUAL RADIATOR

Really I need something up to 320 wide with either both outlets at the top or one top left and one bottom right. The Mercedes one could be doable but would make pipe routing tricky
