Why do you specifically need the hex part?
As opposed to just using 5mm threaded bar and a pair of nuts locked to fit it?

It's for a project that I'm working on, I need to join 2 bearing blocks together. They have tapped holes but they don't go all the
way through to the other side. The studs a no go because of this, one side would need to be left hand threaded and the other right handed to pull the
blocks together when tightened?

Do a search on Ebay for M5 linkage screw. May be cheaper to have a small batch made by a local machine shop or a fellow locoster for beer vouchers etc
A pint for the gent and a white wine/fruit based drink for the lady. Those are the rules

You'll need some time to go through all their products.

Oh! Sounds complicated!
Is there not a simpler way?
