Driving skills day - Scotland

Over-steer and all it's consequences

I have been considering for some time that I need some performance driving tuition. I am particularly concerned about my inability to cope with what is called “lift off over steer” Seven style cars can be prone to this problem but it can happen to a wide range of cars and requires a particular driving technique that needs to be mastered (drift control) if you are to progress while driving performance cars.

I am setting up a special day at Crail airfield in Fife for my own benefit. The special day if you wish to share it, would be at your own risk. I am also proposing to hire the expertise of a driving instructor who will:

* Help set up a custom designed driving course to test your skills
* Personal in car driving tuition on the track at your request.
* Comment about the car's handling.
* Basic ride height and basic dynamic handling adjustments on site.

If you are interested please state clearly and what sort of dates you are available mid week please!

Sounds interesting and not too far. Depending on dates/price/car condition at the time I could be up for that.

I don't have wet weather gear so if you could book a sunny day please

The truth is I am struggling to get a group of three - welcome. It is extremely difficult type of course to put together, combination of time constraints, someone willing to give the tuition and three people available mid week. I have almost given up but we technically have three now.

My advice is that if it is wet it actually works in our favour as the car will let go at a much lower speed and therefore will be easier to read in terms of controlling over steer. My second piece of advice is buy a motorcycle waterproof over suit.

If you want a chat about things give me a call anytime 07974 919603 sooner the better.
