WTD: Zetec BASH ECU (or similar)

Hi Guys,

I think i have a problem with the ECU on my car and want to try a replacement.
Engine is a 2.0 blacktop from a Mk2 Mondeo and has a BASH ECU.

If anyone has one knocking around they don't need, or knows whether i can use a different ECU with the engine that they also have spare, please let me know!

Regards,
Andy

my car turns over but i've got no spark.
i've tried a new coilpack already and checked other electrical connections etc but still no spark.
want to try an ECU as i've read that if fuel is ok but spark is gone, could be the ecu

Transponder as in the chip from the key ? That's paired with the ecu.

Transceiver as in the ring / aerial around the key ? Yes that will work with any of the eec v ecu's the eec iv transceiver / aerial wont work.

So you can pull one of them from a focus a mondeo and many others.

So is the tell tale light going solid then out ?

Have you wired the obd2 ? any codes or other data ?

Have you wired the starter to the inhibit relay ?

If you have triggered the ecu for any reason you may need to disconnect the battery to reset the ecu

already reset the ECU, only code i saw was one about it losing power or something but cleared that as that was stopping it even turning over.
Starter is wired in the inhibit thingy from the ECU. Not sure about the LED tell tale actually, i'll double check it
