K Series into Striker parts wanted
Hi All
It looks like I'm going to be dropping a K series into a Striker so I'll be looking for the following parts -
Bell housing
Flywheel
Exhaust manifold
Engine mounts
Anything else you guys can think of!
I'm not on Blatchat but if somebody could either have a look on there for me or post on there on my behalf I would be most grateful!
Many thanks
Wyn

There's a cracking striker complete in for sale section! If selling up and buying is an option

Thanks Daniel. I had seen that but it's out of my budget! And I'm building a 1400 :-)

You will like the 1400! They love to be revved. Almost as much as the 1600. If anything you'll want more power very soon after the install
unless performance isn't an issue. 1600 is a decent step up in performance

I have a spare bellhousing - also manifold, possibly flywheel - can check and photograph tomorrow.

Thanks guys. I've now found the bits I need courtesy of a LCBer. Engine is courtesy of Dave Andrews :-)

He's never built one like this before!
Short stroke - 1350cc (ish).
82.5 mm block / liners that normally make 1900cc.
VVC head (VVC blanked off) polished and ported.
1444 cams
Jenvey DTH throttle bodies
Emerald ECU
Custom forged pistons
We're hoping it will go well!

Any chance of one of your infamous abandoned blogs to cover the build?

Cheers. Not sure I look forward to the cost. But I think it will make a lovely engine in the sprite.

Apart from the custom pistons, crank and rods it's a pretty standard DVA engine :-)

It's the jenveys and emerald which cost! It'll all be worth it when it's screaming along
