WTD Chassis
I've finally had to admit that my car would benefit from a more rigid chassis. I could lift the body off and try to strengthen what it there but
I also need to make the front track wider to match the rear. I also need to alter the roll-over protection because the current set-up relies on my
head and neck being strong enough to take the weight of the car, or the floor giving way so the seats push through it!!
I far better solution would be to start with another chassis and fit my engine, gearbox rear end etc. I don't have the budget to buy new or the
time to build from scratch. What I would like is pre-built chassis. It can be new but not finished, old and damaged, or whatever else you have kicking
about. I'll be needing to cut it about to get my bits to fit so condition isn't too important. Something with front wishbones would be a
bonus!
Close to Whitby would be a bonus but I'm happy to travel for the right deal!
Cheers guys.

Dan_g8 has got a haynes chassis knocking around the workshop - he needs it cleared so you could end up paying next to nothing for it. Shoot him a
u2u.

I presume you'll be retaining its beautiful sleek lines though?

I'd also need a time machine......
I've missed a couple of chassis for scrap money so I just thought I'd flop my feelers out.....

Jeez my eyes! That's so bad is it a boat or at least amphibious? That might be a plausible excuse but you have got to have some sort of base
standard

Dan_g8s chassis isn't quite complete enough but still a contender.
The other chassis on Ebay in Nicks link is already on my watchlist as well as another one a lot closer to home in Notts.
I saw the 2CV thing go past my house the other day on the back of the local scrap-mans wagon and its his partner who has it for sale on
Ebay.......obviously there isn't much scrap value in second hand plywood.
