WTD: Type 9 alloy bellhousing
Hi guys,
Just on the off chance while I have my engine out, does anyone have an alloy type 9 bellhousing to go from a 5spd to a blacktop zetec 4 pot?
Thanks
Andy

I have an alloy bh, modified to infill the os cut out for the clutch arm (it was rs so now only has started recess on near side) so suitable for
hydraulic clutch only. Not the best so just want £60+ postage. I have pics but can't see how to insert them being an IT dinosaur!

Hi, I’m still running a cable clutch and not looking to upgrade to hydraulic at the moment...
Is the modification permanent, I.e I couldn’t just cut the infill back out?

The os cutout needs removing to fit into a striker anyway, you'd need to add a clutch cable bracket and a slot into the infill for the clutch
arm to operate, and reuse the arm/release bearing/pivot pin from your existing bellhousing (there may be some mods needed to the arm for this) .
The rs2000 bellhousing does have the starter mounting in a slightly different orientation, so your dust shield will need new holes for the bolts.
