hello - how to get a car transported from North East to Midlands (non runner)

How can I get a car transported from the north east to the Midlands that's a non runner ( not run in 3 years, clutch is seized, flat battery, potentially stuck brakes).

Needs TLC for transport as it's a bit of a classic.

Also, any idea of cost so I can factor it into the purchase.

Glasgow to Leeds for my kit, they wanted £700. My friend in the industry said he'd not be able to beat that by much. I ended up getting the mega bus home and going back with the landy and a flatbed trailer I have, (after work!) making ramps at midnight, and home for 5am. Cost 150 in diesel, but I felt like such a hero not getting ripped off!

I've used Shiply for various cars.

Barwell trailers, if you have a tow hitch on your car?

If you've got access to a tow vehicle and suitable trailer (or rent a trailer) that's got to be the way. You get to do the TLC bit and not pay out a wedge to sombody else. Failing that, do you know anybody suitably equipped?

Shiply without a doubt. Car from Bridgewater to Thirsk - £270

No tow bar and a plan to sell the car in the near future so figured it's not worth adding one. No one I know has a tow bar I could persuade to drive to Northumberland to pick up an old seven.

Guess I'm trying Shipley

I'll add - Rover SD1 Swansea to west Kent £220

Closest trailer hire for me £70 (prob 1 hour round trip)

Swansea 222 miles each way - 444/35mpg (and 8 to 12 hours of wasted time) = approx £95 - total = £165

No brainer really - £55 for no stress/lost time and car insured for the trip.

What does your driving licence allow you to drive? You can hire 3.5T and 7.5T beavertail transporters. I've only looked at one and that was not in your area, but they were charging £107 per day for the 3.5T one.
