vauxhall corsa/astra engine
can anybody help. i,m trying to locate a replacement engine for my corsa which has just chucked its hand in. its the 1.7 non turbo unit,but i would
manage with the turbo unit out of an astra. if anybody heres of one up for grabs,please let me know.thanks adrian

thanks ive been scouring ebay myself. im a diesel mechanic by trade if you cant here them run dont touch them.and if you can hear them run get them
very hot and check for head gasket faults as the heads are as soft as s**t

yea me too for my sins, thats whats the matter with this one runs sweet till you fill it with water then it turns into a steam engine lol

yea pulled the lid off mine to do the gasket.only to find that the bore had been eaten away by rust caused by water ingress,and the head has warped by
about 40 thou

i wouldant care but but this is the isuzu lump and some guy at the vauxhall dealers tried to tell me that the isuzu was a better lump than the g.m.
i,v got an old g.m powered astra that has done 150 thou miles runs a1 and still does 55 mpg. japanese crap
