someone will correct me if I am wrong but I cannot see why you cannot bend a piece of steel, U shape and drill 2 holes?
Ok, the lamops have a riased edge but will still wortk without that surely?

I am not sure, but are the clamps (and rubbers) the same as used on the later capris?

I think it was the early Capri, but yeah, they are certainly the same.
Try www.speedshack.co.uk (ring them though, don't email). That's where I got mine.

Thanks for the advice, I will try www.speedshack.co.uk to see if they have any second hand. I didn't want to spend £30 for a pair, I'm
not the bank of England so need to be careful where I can be. I'm also tempted to make a pair, the 2B I built used U clamps and they worked
just fine which also tempts me.
