R1 Engine (5JJ) needed

R1 Engine 2000/1 (5JJ) wanted.
Colibriman is trying his best to get me one after the firstone gave up the ghost. Just wondered if anyone on here knows of one going.

well the big end went and it sounded like the piston was hitting the head/valves,not sure whats going to be done with the engine yet,ask colin as i think he'll be having it back

Unlucky mate!

That is seriously bad luck after changing that motor over and rebuilding...

How did it go and what was the end result?

As I've got a 5JJ!

And yeah. yorkshire engines AKA Malc is very helpful on the motor front...

Well, what can I say... I could feel the potential, but as I was getting used to driving it in the rain, I didnt get to give it much.

Not sure. It came out of a crashed bike so it could have been laying on its side whilst reving its nuts off.

oh right, so you didnt even get to start it then! was it seized? did you not check it b4 putting it in? its a bit of a worry buying from a breakers after you meantion that!

i wouldnt worry about buying from a breakers ,i think it was just unlucky. colin has allready said he will sort richi out with another engine but we want one before friday so that we can fit it ready for the kitcar show at oulton
