Longer Cortina wheel studs.

Does anyone have any longer cortina wheel studs kicking about? I need 16. Iv got cortina front hubs and cortina back axle. Also need matching nuts.
or
wheres the cheapest place to get them from and what thread etc are they?

Sierra fronts are a bit longer

But for longer studs Yukspeed is a good source.

M12x1.5 aren't they

They usually run at around £1.50 ech on ebay, Fisher Sports Cars have some on there now. Check it out.

One thing to watch for with these aftermarket studs is the longer shoulder area. I found that my RS2000 wheels with the flange nuts bottomed out before the wheels were tight. At the front I had to swap them for original Sierra studs and I've fitted a 3mm spacer to the rears. The fronts are worse because there is no drum or disc fitting over the studs before the wheel goes on. If you are not fitting spacers I'd stick with Ford studs for the fronts.

I think with my wheels on the stud will take about 2 threads of the nut.

I meant the longer Sierra studs. If your wheels have a thick centre then you should be okay with the aftermarket studs.

where did my post go?

that's right; I got some from RD but really wanted standard ones (should have tried Ford) ... but anyway I turned them down using a drill and angle grinder then continued the thread with a die.

When you fit them, use a wheel as a puller by doing up the wheel nuts. If you use a vice to press them in, they may not go in straight so the wheel won't fit, ask me how I found that out
