gearbox kart rolling chassis?

just being inquisitive here really, does anybody have an old but vaguely serviceable gearbox kart rolling chassis with brakes, steering etc kicking around that they might sell cheap??

Just a vague interest for a summer project

let me know on n.seviour@ntlworld.com or u2u on here

cheers

Nat

how could you suggest such a thing!!!

With my current project workload NOT a good idea, but a group of us have agreed to put some cash in each, reckon a reasonable gixxer 750 should be gettable for £250 tops, and 1 hard weekends graft should get it up and running.

It'll be a while, got much more important projects on, but this might be a bit of fun on warm barbeque evenings, few bits of welding in between beers, then take it to out local track on a free practice day

(took my grasser on the kart track up there, that got a few looks!!)

Might be ok, but I really want a full gearbox kart so I have front brakes, think I'll need em!!

Kart stuff seems to be much cheaper if bought attached to a kart, so ideally that's what I want to do, get one with all the "karty" bits all there, then chop it about and lengthen it etc.

I fancy a gixer myself, also fancy grasstrack too, I'd like to have a chat at a meeting sometime maybe!!

yeah, get over to a meeting at M&L near Shepshed and we can have a chat, plenty of bike engined cars there! (and a few twin ones!)

Let me know if you're thinking about this, may be able to make it slightly more locost!
