Rivnut Gun

Any one got a cheap! rivnut gun they can pass on.
Bit put off by the prices for new applicaters

Also whats the most common size we use on our cars? Anyone go up to M8??

hey coozer i made my own diy rivnut tool, it only does m8, take a look in my photo bin. i already got a small hand one which only will do upto m6 in aluminium rivnuts. i too was not willing to pay silly money on a tool which would only be used a few times.

I felt the same as you.
Bought a laser one whilst at stoneleigh. £19.50 with a number of rivnuts.

I don't care if it's not the best quality, for the amount of use it's going to get I reckon it will do me fine.

i used a manual tool that my Dad bought from MK. Worked great on the few rivnuts i had to use. You could always measure it up sometime and get one made. Failing that im not sure if ive seen a similar tool available at Mac#1. If they can supply but you are not passing i can always collect for you and bring back up when the time comes.
