Kris,

Alternator - I might have sold my Micra Alternator and Bracket for £40.00 - if not - you can have first refusal.

However - my suggestion is!

RING Mark on 0114 2619633

£30ish later you'll have the dogs danglies alternator bracket!

Ive just got back onto my chair after falling off laughing

I had same issue with alternator bracket on Pinto. Quick call to number above solved all of my problems.

if you are in a hurry for it i will be at Mac#1 tomorrow and probs calling back in on way back up North on Wednesday. Ill happily bring up to Bishop Auckland for you if they have some in stock (they had one on the shelf 2 weeks ago). Just tell Mark and leave him your mobile number.

I bought the Micra alternator off him as well.

my engine doesnt fit in the hole, nothing lines up, need brackets making, hydralic cluctch fitting and setting up, and i dont know anything about engines/clutchs

ha ha and i need more than one set of hands to get it fitted, and all my close mates aint into getting there hands dirty- and have no interest in cars!

looks like i may have a alternator bracket(cheers lads), although i wont have a belt or a pully bracket??? anyone know what to do there??

and looks like the binman may have a full loaf when he leaves my street one thursday if it keeps up like this!

Text recieved. Iam very glad to help.

Belt is easy - Halfords stock loads of different lengths. You can buy a couple and take 1 or 2 back. I used HB850 on Pinto.

I had a double pulley as my pinto must have been power steering version. Scrap yard may assist here.

If you were more local id help out. You could try joining ne7ers and see if someone is very close to you.

Kris,

Take some pics of your exact issues - nearly everything is solved with a little 'brain power' (luckily for me).

Although to be honest - if I didnt have the help of 2 mechanics and a guy who had built his - I would plop it on a trailer and nip it down to the boys @ MAC#1.

They'll fit the engine, sort the clutch and the alternator.

Leaving you with the fun stuff!

Give Mark a call - see what price he quotes - I think you'll be pleasantly surprised - especially when you consider you've already spent 3 weeks working out how NOT to do it
