Nice knob.

Thought I'd mention these for anybody looking for a nice gear knob.

For the money I expected it to be a cheap & nasty junky item from China, not at all.

Very very impressed. Excellent quality, precision joints and couldn't be better.

ntdwm just a very happy customer.

Little tip.....

Just buy a ford puma Knob. They have the proper std metal screw thread and don't come off in your hand i got one from ebay for about £14 a while ago for my westy (now sold).

Really nice heavy gearknob (solid alloy).

These have 4 grub screws under the shaft cover (which screws nicely over them) and no way it'll come off with these done up.

With a BEC gearshift the last thing you'd want is a heavy knob, I'm slightly concerned the weight of this one will be a bit too much as it is solid ally too apart from the 10mm shaft hole.

Each to their own though.

Yeah they do! Threadlock them in, they do work loose and it's very disconcerting when your knob comes off in your hand (oooer!)

I just got an Black 8 Pool Ball, drilled a hole in it and fixed it to the lever with hot melt glue. Just the job for a V8 engined car, and only cost £2.99 off Fleabay.

PS... Tip... Heat the gear lever with a small blowlamp, melt glue onto the lever, then fit the ball over the top. Putting glue in the hole in the ball, makes the glue set too quickly with the cold lever. Other way round it works, but leave you knob alone for 30 mins so the glue can set (get cold).

Pay £14 for a knob... not bloody likely
