Banger racing: Doesn't this make you feel sick?

2 cars off one forum, both gone missing, both found after being bangered

They are ruining the reputation of their own sport.

If the local traffic section get wind of that they'll be all over them, would be nice to see them go round a make everyone produce receipts for the cars.

Can't really understand banger racing, stock car racing, yes, saloon stox etc. are great and I go and watch whenever I can. BUT banger racing is just destructive !?

Originally it was because it was very, very cheap fun. I had some mates that started doing it in the late sixties. Then you had to show a receipt for the car, to prove that you hadn't paid more than a fiver for it!:

There has been a lttle debate over on PPC about this.
The bangers boys could wipe it out in one go. Just make sure every car has its documents and original chassis number.
The BiB could do spot checks. The bangers organisers would have to enforce it, just to keep a low profile and to keep the plod away!
