R1 Bike Carb manual

like the title says, im looking for a manual on the yamaha R1 bike carbs, as you may know by now, as i have posted before the fact that im changing from webers to R1 carbs on my pinto. as i practically nothing about bike carbs, (only the fact that they go vroom vroom) i need to obviously learn a little more about the carbs.

if anyone can recommend a manual that would be great

ATB Alex

I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

Why not get a Haynes Manual for a Yamaha R1 ? The later R1's are I think Fuel Injection so '98 - '03 will definitely cover the carbs.

Model :YZF-R1 998cc 98 - 03

Haynes Manual Ref No: 3754
ISBN: 1 84425 191 8
Web price: £19.99

Get it from www.haynes.co.uk or try your local halfords.

Failing that, a Yamaha bike dealer may probably be able to get you a technical manual.

Cheers

Angus

I have a link somewhere to an internet site with the manual on.
If you do a yahoo search you may find it. If not I will do some checking.

If all else fails, I have it on CD so can copy you the carbs chapter.

Summer's here!!!!

I thought your carbs were clean and tidy? Or is it just stuff like what pipe goes where you need to know?
